Stefanie Stantcheva is a Bulgarian-French economist and the Nathaniel Ropes Professor of Political Economy at Harvard University, where she founded the Social Economics Lab. Her research covers taxation, innovation policy and the measurement of social attitudes and perceptions.
She was awarded the John Bates Clark Medal by the American Economic Association in 2025.
