Roger Myerson is an American economist and the David L. Pearson Distinguished Service Professor of Global Conflict Studies at the University of Chicago. His research covers game theory, mechanism design and political economy.

In 2007 he shared the Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel with Leonid Hurwicz and Eric Maskin for laying the foundations of mechanism design theory.
