Andreu Mas-Colell is a Spanish economist known for work in general equilibrium theory and mathematical economics. He taught at the University of California, Berkeley and at Harvard University before joining Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona.

He is co-author, with Michael Whinston and Jerry Green, of Microeconomic Theory, and served as Minister of Universities, Research and Information Society and later Minister of Economy in the Government of Catalonia.
