Tobias Lütke is a German-Canadian software developer and entrepreneur. He trained as a computer programmer in Germany and co-founded Shopify in 2006 in Ottawa, originally as an online snowboard shop, and has been its chief executive since 2008.
He was a core contributor to the Ruby on Rails framework and created the open-source library Active Merchant.
