Patrick Collison is an Irish entrepreneur. With his brother John he founded the software company Auctomatic, sold in 2008, and in 2010 the payments company Stripe, where he is chief executive.
He co-founded the Arc Institute, a non-profit biomedical research organisation, and the Fast Grants research funding programme, and co-wrote the online essay collection on progress studies with Tyler Cowen.
