Jared Cohen

Jared Cohen currently serves as the President of Global Affairs and co-head of the Goldman Sachs Global Institute. He joined Goldman Sachs in 2022 as a Partner and a member of the firm's Management Committee. In addition to his corporate leadership, he holds the position of Adjunct Senior Fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations.

Prior to his tenure in finance, Cohen founded and served as the CEO of Jigsaw, originally known as Google Ideas. His work in the technology sector followed a significant career in the public sector, where he served on the U.S. Secretary of State's Policy Planning Staff. During this time, he acted as an advisor to Secretaries of State Condoleezza Rice and Hillary Clinton, focusing on counter-terrorism, counter-radicalization, and Internet freedom.

Recognized as one of the architects of '21st century statecraft,' Cohen's work at the Department of State involved fostering diplomatic strategies for the digital age. His efforts in international relations and technology earned him a place on Time magazine's list of the 100 most influential people in 2013. He is also established as a presidential historian.
