Tulsi Gabbard is an American politician and military officer serving as Director of National Intelligence since 2025. She represented Hawaii's 2nd congressional district in the United States House of Representatives from 2013 to 2021 and served in the Hawaii House of Representatives.
She has served in the Hawaii Army National Guard and the United States Army Reserve, including deployments to Iraq and Kuwait.
