Radosław Sikorski began his career in journalism, serving as a war correspondent in Afghanistan and Angola for The Observer and The Spectator between 1986 and 1989. He entered government service in 1992 as Deputy Minister of National Defence and later served as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs from 1998 to 2001. Between 2005 and 2007, he held the position of Minister of National Defence before transitioning to his first term as Minister of Foreign Affairs, a role he maintained until 2014.
Sikorski served as Marshal of the Sejm from 2014 to 2015 and represented Poland as a Member of the European Parliament from 2019 to 2023. In December 2023, he was reappointed as Minister of Foreign Affairs, and in 2025, he assumed the role of Deputy Prime Minister. He is a member of the Civic Coalition and has held leadership positions within the party's structure throughout his political tenure.
Outside of elected office, Sikorski has contributed to various international policy organizations, including the American Enterprise Institute and the Center for European Studies at Harvard University. He is a member of the Steering Committee for the Bilderberg Group and a Senior Network Member at the European Leadership Network. In 2025, he was designated an Honorary Fellow of Pembroke College, Oxford.
