Mario Draghi is an Italian economist and public official. He served as Director-General of the Italian Treasury from 1991 to 2001, as Governor of the Bank of Italy from 2006 to 2011, and as chair of the Financial Stability Board.

He was President of the European Central Bank from 2011 to 2019 and Prime Minister of Italy from February 2021 to October 2022. In 2024 he presented a report on European competitiveness prepared at the request of the European Commission.
