Joe Lonsdale is an American entrepreneur and venture investor. He was an early member of the founding team of Palantir Technologies and co-founded the financial technology company Addepar and the venture firm Formation 8.
In 2015 he founded 8VC, a venture capital firm based in Austin, Texas. He is also a founder and board member of the University of Austin.
