Anne-Marie Slaughter is an American academic and policy analyst. She was dean of the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs from 2002 to 2009 and is professor emerita of politics and international affairs at Princeton University.
From 2009 to 2011 she served as Director of Policy Planning at the United States Department of State. Since 2013 she has been chief executive of New America, a public policy institute based in Washington, D.C. Her books include The Idea That Is America, The Chessboard and the Web, and Unfinished Business.
