Bengt Holmström est un économiste finlandais et Paul A. Samuelson Professor Emeritus of Economics au Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Ses recherches portent sur la théorie des contrats, les incitations et la théorie de la firme.
En 2016, il a partagé le Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel avec Oliver Hart pour leurs contributions à la théorie des contrats.
